DOC C-02Cookie policy · 9 sections · updated October 6, 2026

One cookie is ours. The rest wait until you press Allow.

The Beavreno parts site stores one choice of its own and a chat token. The advertising cookies from Google, Microsoft and Meta stay off until you say yes, and go back off the moment you say no. Below is each one by name, with its lifetime.

01 Date of this notice

This cookie policy took effect on October 6, 2026. It sits alongside the privacy policy, which covers the inquiry form and chat in full. When we add or drop a cookie, this date changes and the table below changes with it.

02 Three kinds, and only one of them runs without asking

Strictly necessary. The record of your cookie choice, and the chat token if you open the support chat. Without the first, the bar would ask you on every page. Without the second, a reply about your drain pump would land in a chat you can no longer see. Neither tracks you anywhere else.

Analytics. Counting which pages get read and which get abandoned, so we know whether the fastener thread table is useful or just long. Off until you allow it, governed by analytics_storage.

Advertising. Cookies set by Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads to record that a paid click became an inquiry, and to let those platforms show our ads again to people who have visited. Off until you allow it, governed by ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization.

03 Every cookie and key, by name

Cookie names set by the ad platforms are theirs and can change without notice from them. These are the ones in use on the date above. They are set out below as a real <table>, not a paragraph: one row per cookie or storage key, with who sets it, what it is for, its category and how long it lasts.

04 The ads that bring people here

Paid ads send visitors to this site now. Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising run search campaigns for things like a washer drain pump replacement or a dryer belt by rib count, and Meta Ads runs when a campaign is live there. When you click one, the platform tacks an identifier onto the address:

  • gclid on a click from Google Ads
  • msclkid on a click from Microsoft Advertising
  • fbclid on a click from Meta

The identifier arrives in the URL regardless. Whether it gets written to a cookie and reported back is decided by your answer on the cookie bar. No platform has reviewed or vouched for this site.

05 Consent Mode v2, in four switches

Google Consent Mode v2 is set in the very first script on every page, before any tag loads. It starts with four signals at denied: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. Press Allow and all four switch to granted. Press Decline, now or later, and all four go back to denied straight away. The Microsoft and Meta tags follow the same answer: they do not set their cookies while it is denied.

In the denied state Google may receive a cookieless ping saying a page loaded, with no identifier that ties it to you. That is how Consent Mode is built, and it is the most that happens before you choose.

06 Saying yes, and taking it back

The bar at the bottom of the screen offers two buttons of the same size: Decline and Allow. It does not cover the page, so you can ignore it and still browse the catalogue or send an inquiry. Your answer is saved under site_consent_v2 for 6 months, after which the bar asks again.

To change your mind, use Cookie settings in the footer row of any page. It brings the bar back. Clearing your browser's site data does the same. A browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as Decline without the bar asking.

07 What still works after Decline

Everything you came for. The catalogue, the part matcher, the inquiry form and the support chat all work with advertising and analytics cookies off. What stops: we can no longer tell which ad brought you, and the platforms do not get to show you our ads based on this visit. Ads for a parts counter will still appear around the web, they just will not be aimed at you because of us.

08 The platforms' own rules

Each platform handles what it receives under its own policy. Read them directly:

09 Ask about a specific cookie
