01Washer and dryer · Pumps $38–$95 · Belts $14–$32
Washer drain pumps and dryer belts, matched to the model and the serial.
Washer drain pump replacement is the job we quote most. The pump is the easy part to swap and the hard part to buy, because one washer model can take two revisions with different connector keys. Dryer belts are the other one, and they go wrong for a different reason: people buy by length and forget the rib count.

Washer drain pump
A drain pump is a small synchronous motor with a plastic impeller housing, usually glass-filled polypropylene, clipped or screwed to the bottom of the tub sump. When it fails it hums and does nothing, or it spins and leaves two inches of water in the drum. Half the time the culprit is a sock or a coin in the impeller, and we will tell you to check that first before you buy anything.
When it is the pump, the model number alone is not enough. Whirlpool alone made four drain pumps that look identical. Inside one model run, a mid-life revision moved the connector key from one side of the plug to the other, so the old pump and the new one bolt into the same mount and then refuse the harness. We read the serial to tell which run you have, and if the serial sits on the boundary we ask for a photo of the plug.
OEM and compatible pumps both come over the counter. The compatible ones are often a third cheaper and we sell them when the mount, the outlet diameter and the connector all match. If one of those three is off we don't call it compatible.

The rib count is half the belt.
The most common mistake we see at the counter: a dryer belt bought by length alone. A poly-V belt is specified by length and rib count together. A 4-rib belt does not ride a 6-rib pulley; it wanders across the grooves, glazes, and is shredded inside a week. Count the ribs on the old belt, or read the code printed on its back, before you write.

Dryer drive belt by rib count
A dryer drive belt wraps the whole drum, round the motor pulley and the idler, and turns the drum at about 50 rpm. Most are EPDM rubber with polyester cord; the cheap ones are neoprene and crack along the ribs first. When a belt goes the drum stops but the motor keeps running, and you hear it spinning freely with nothing to drag.
We sell the belt by length and rib count, matched to your dryer's model. If the old belt snapped because the idler pulley seized, a new belt will snap too, so we ask how it failed. A belt that frayed along one edge points at a worn drum roller or a bent idler arm; a clean snap with glazed ribs points at the idler bearing. Idler pulleys and drum rollers are on the counter as well.
Bring the old belt if you have it, even in pieces. The code on its back saves us both a phone call.

Door locks and lint filters.
Door lock assemblies on front-loaders and lid locks on top-loaders: the wax motor or solenoid fails and the machine won't start, or won't let go of your laundry. These have revision splits like pumps, so the serial matters. Indicative $28–$70; confirmed on reply.
Lint filters and screens for dryers: a torn mesh lets lint into the duct, which is a fire risk and the reason we'd rather sell you a $12 screen than see you tape the old one. Matched by the slot dimensions and the handle type.
→How it runs
- Send model, serial and the symptomThrough the form below, the phone or the chat. A tag photo is best.
- We read the revision and check the fit pointsSame day for in-stock belts. If the serial sits on a pump revision boundary, we ask for a plug photo.
- You get a confirmed price and a ready dateStocked belts are usually ready the same day; ordered pumps take a few working days, and we tell you how many.
- Pickup at the counter, or shippedWith a short note on how it goes in. We don't send technicians.
Asked about washers and dryers.
Can't I just buy the universal drain pump?
Universal pumps ship with an adapter bag of plugs and brackets. Sometimes one of them fits. Usually you end up cutting a harness, and on a machine still worth fixing that's a bad trade for $20 saved. We'd rather sell the matched pump.
Will you come out and fit it?
No. We supply the part and explain the swap. A drain pump on most top-loaders is three screws, one clamp and a plug. If that sounds like too much, a repair tech is the right call, not us.
My dryer is gas. Do you still sell the belt?
Yes. Belts, rollers, idlers and lint screens are the same job on a gas dryer. The gas valve coils and the igniter are not; those go to a licensed tech.
