04Countertop · coffee makers, blenders, vacuums
A $7 coupler keeps a $90 blender out of the landfill.
Coffee maker and blender replacement parts for countertop machines: carafes, lid gaskets, drive couplers, blade assembly seals and the small vacuum parts that wear first. Send the model number from the sticker under the base. We match by tooth count, neck height and thread direction, then reply with a confirmed number.

Coffee maker carafe and lid gasket
Coffee maker carafes that open the drip-stop valve
Under the brew basket sits a spring-loaded drip-stop. The carafe lid pushes it up when the pot is in place, and it snaps shut when you pull the pot to pour a cup early. A carafe that is 4 mm short never opens it, so the basket floods and coffee runs down the side of the machine. It is the failure we see most often from "fits most 12-cup" carafes bought online.
So we check the overall height from the warming plate to the top of the lid, the lid's pusher position and the handle clearance against the body. Glass carafes are borosilicate. Thermal carafes are stainless double wall and use a different lid with its own gasket; the two are not interchangeable even on the same brand.
The silicone lid gasket is the cheap fix. If the lid leaks at the pour spout but the glass is fine, the gasket has hardened. It is a few dollars and it presses in by hand.
| Point | What we compare | Tolerance |
|---|---|---|
| Overall height | Plate to lid top, against the model listing | ±2 mm |
| Lid pusher | Position under the drip-stop | Center or offset |
| Body | Glass or thermal stainless | No swap |
| Lid gasket | Diameter and section | Silicone |
Blender drive coupler
Blender drive couplers matched by tooth count and thread
The coupler is the small toothed gear on top of the motor base that turns the blade assembly in the jar. It is made soft on purpose. When a frozen chunk stalls the blade, the coupler strips instead of the motor windings burning out. A grinding noise with the motor running and the blades still means the teeth are gone.
We match three things. The tooth count, usually 6 to 12 on household bases. The shaft thread, because most motor shafts are left-hand thread and come off clockwise, while some are right-hand. And the material: rubber, nylon or a metal-reinforced coupler. A metal one lasts longer and moves the failure to the jar's drive socket, which costs more. We say which you are getting.
Hold the motor fan still with a flat screwdriver through the vent, then turn the coupler. If you don't know which way, send a photo of the shaft before you force it.
| Point | Typical range | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Teeth | 6 to 12 | Must mesh with the jar socket |
| Thread direction | LH or RH | Wrong way strips the shaft |
| Material | Rubber · nylon · metal insert | Decides where the next failure lands |
| Base model | Sticker under base | Revisions changed the shaft |

Is a part worth it on a cheap machine?
My coffee maker cost $25. Should I bother?
Probably not for the heating element. For a carafe or a lid gasket, yes, if the carafe is under half the price of a new machine. We will tell you when the numbers do not work.
The motor smells hot and runs slow. Will a coupler fix it?
No. That is the motor or its brushes. On most countertop blenders the brushes are not sold separately and we do not rewind motors.
Do you sell espresso machine pump parts?
Group head gaskets and shower screens, yes, by machine model. Pumps and boilers on pressurised machines, no. Those go to a repair shop.
