When this policy applies

This policy takes effect on October 6, 2026 and replaces anything published here before that date. It covers beavreno.com, the inquiry form, the part matcher and the support chat. It does not cover what you say to us on the phone or across the counter, beyond the note we write into the inquiry record.

Who holds your data

The controller is Beavreno, trading at beavreno.com, a small parts counter at 105 River Road, Austin, Texas 85895, United States. We sell appliance spare parts, consumables, fasteners and repair kits, matched by model number. Nobody else decides what happens to the inquiry you send. Write to [email protected] or call +1 (213) 555-0383.

What we receive

Less than most shops. There is no account, no password, no card and no payment on this site, because nothing is sold here. What does arrive:

  • The inquiry form. Your name, phone, email, street address or ZIP, the kind of inquiry, your message, the specification you asked for (often a model and serial number, or a part summary from the matcher) and the consent tick.
  • Sent with the form, automatically. Your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the referring URL, the moment the form was rendered and the moment it was sent. The two timestamps help us filter automated spam.
  • The support chat. The conversation itself, plus a name, phone or email if you choose to give them. A token is kept in your browser so you can come back to the same thread.
  • Your consent choice, stored in your browser under site_consent_v2. Nothing else on this site persists a choice.
  • Cookie and advertising identifiers. Once you allow storage, the Google, Microsoft and Meta tags may set their own cookies. When you arrive from an ad, the link itself carries a click identifier (gclid, msclkid or fbclid) in its address.
  • Server logs kept by the host: IP address, requested page, time, status code and user-agent.

What it is used for

Inquiry details are used to find the part, check it against your model and serial range, and reply with a confirmed price and availability. The phone number is there because a revision split is faster settled in a two-minute call than in six emails. Your address is used only when you ask for a part to be shipped.

Chat messages are used to answer you and are kept as the record of what was promised. Logs and the render timestamps keep the forms working and keep bots out. Advertising identifiers tell us which ad brought a visit that turned into an inquiry, so we stop paying for the ones that bring nobody. We do not sell your data, and we do not build profiles of you.

The legal basis for each use

Where a law such as the GDPR asks for one, these are the bases we rely on.

Advertising that sends visitors here

This site runs paid advertising today. Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising send traffic to these pages, and Meta Ads does too when a campaign runs there. Each platform adds its own click identifier to the link you click:

  • gclid from Google Ads
  • msclkid from Microsoft Advertising
  • fbclid from Meta Ads

That identifier sits in the page address whether or not you accept cookies. It is only stored and reported back to the platform as a conversion after you press Allow. None of these platforms has reviewed or endorsed what we sell; they carry the ads, nothing more.

Consent Mode v2

The site uses Google Consent Mode v2. Before anything else loads, four signals are set to denied: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. They stay denied until you press Allow on the cookie bar. If you press Decline, or later withdraw through Cookie settings in the footer, all four are set back to denied at that moment. While they are denied the Google tag writes no advertising or analytics cookie and sends only cookieless pings with no identifier attached.

The cookie bar sits at the bottom of the page and does not block it. You can read and send an inquiry without answering it. The full list of cookies is in the cookie policy.

Who else receives it

  • Google Ireland Ltd and Google LLC, for Google Ads. Google attaches gclid to a click and receives the consent signals. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, for Microsoft Advertising, which attaches msclkid. Its handling is covered by the Microsoft privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, for Meta Ads, which attaches fbclid where a campaign runs there.
  • Our hosting provider, which serves the site, writes the server logs and stores the inquiry and chat database.
  • Our mail provider, which carries the notification of a new inquiry to the counter's inbox and our replies back to you.

A carrier gets your name and shipping address only when you ask for a part to be shipped. Nobody gets a list of customers.

Data leaving the country

We operate in the United States, so data from a visitor in Europe crosses a border the moment it is sent. The ad platforms above also move data between the US, Ireland and elsewhere. Those transfers rest on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the recipient is certified, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguard that applies.

How long each thing is kept

Retention periods
RecordKept for
Inquiries and their email copies24 months
Chat transcripts18 months
Server and access logs60 days
Record of a consent choice6 months, then the bar asks again

Why 24 months for an inquiry: people come back a year later for the same dryer belt, and the old record tells us the rib count without another trip to the laundry room. After that it is deleted.

How it is protected

Every page and form travels over HTTPS. The inquiry database is not reachable from the public site, and only the people at the counter can open it, behind a password. Forms reject automated posts with hidden trap fields and a timing check. We hold no card numbers and no passwords of yours, which removes the two things most worth stealing. If a breach ever touches your data, we tell you and any authority the law requires.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you reach this site from the European Union, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR (or the UK GDPR) gives you these rights:

  • Access to the data we hold about you, with a copy.
  • Rectification of anything wrong, such as a mistyped phone number.
  • Erasure, unless we must keep a record of a completed sale.
  • Restriction of use while a dispute is settled.
  • Portability, a machine-readable copy of what you gave us.
  • Objection to any use based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdrawing consent at any time, through Cookie settings in the footer, without affecting what was lawful before.

Your rights under US state law

Residents of California have rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA: to know what personal information we collect and why, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, to limit use of sensitive information, and not to be treated differently for using any of these. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and the other states with privacy laws in force have similar rights to access, correct, delete and opt out.

We do not sell personal information for money. Letting an ad platform set a cookie can count as sharing under the CCPA, so Decline on the cookie bar is your opt-out, and it takes effect immediately.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (the Sec-GPC header), we treat it as an opt-out of sale and sharing. The four consent signals stay denied and we do not ask again on that browser.

Children

This is a parts counter for adults fixing their own machines. The site is not meant for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly take data from children. If a child has sent us an inquiry, tell us and we delete it.

Complaints

Write to us first and we will try to fix it. You can also complain to the Attorney General of your state and, in California, to the California Privacy Protection Agency. Visitors in Europe can complain to the data protection authority of the country where they live or work.

How to use these rights

Use the data request page, email [email protected], or write to Beavreno, 105 River Road, Austin, Texas 85895, United States. Tell us the email or phone number you used, so we can find the record and check it is yours. We answer within 7 days. There is no fee.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the version and effective date at the top of this page change with it, and the old text is available on request. If a change widens what we collect or who receives it, the cookie bar asks you again before the new use starts.

Talk to a person

A privacy question goes to the same people who answer parts questions. Email [email protected], call +1 (213) 555-0383, or write to 105 River Road, Austin, Texas 85895. Related pages: cookie policy, terms of use, accessibility.
